So great Beau! Icecubes comic so much fun. And I LOVED your YouTube interview… what a journey inspired by comics as a kid which sparked your creativity & tech smarts through the years & … print, TV, MTV,digital, web, magazines & art. What you’re doing now so clever in the iPhone space too. Lastly those Tin Tim & Casper images have planted a big smile on my face. I’m a kid again for today. Xxx

Comics Creator Caricature.

I make funny drawings so it’s only fair that cool caricaturist Richard Muniz should make a funny drawing of me! I met Richard at a local market fair and he helped me set up my tent and was not only a great caricaturist but also a really nice guy. His drawings are great and people were loving them. I was a little jealous of how quick Richard was with the pencil. If only I could draw that quick! Monday’s contest was so successful and exciting, that I’ve decided to extend it and add a special prize! Folks, this one is a little bit harder and that’s because the special prize is a limited numbered Artist Edition of ICECUBES the book! There are very few left of the original 200 numbered artist edition copies and you can win one! So to recap, we are celebrating the wonderful contribution of Belgian artists to the world of comics. Many world famous cartoon and comics characters have come from Belgium. Now that you know the answers to the first 3 questions (read Monday’s post here) try to answer these tricky ones:

Great job! Check tomorrow’s update for a chance to win the special prize! Bonjour comic fans! Last week a cool thing happened at ICECUBES. The website got a bunch of visitors from Belgium! Belgium came in third place for most visits by country. That title is usually reserved for the UK or Australia, as ICECUBES is an English speaking comic. Belgium beat them this week! You may know that Belgium is the birthplace of the European School of Comics. Started just before WWII, the school flourished in the post-war period with many international comic stars. To celebrate this, I’ve decided to start a week-long contest to see who knows their Belgian comics! So here goes: be the first person to answer the challenge (one prize per person please!)
